"Good Morning, Beautiful" is the personal and surreal story of one man's grief. After the death of his newborn daughter, Dave struggles to keep his grip on reality as he begins to see only ugliness in the world. He drifts through his existence in an almost dream state, not knowing what is real and what is only in his head.
Dave begins to meet with and to be haunted by a bevy of odd characters and nightmarish creatures all while dealing with the grief of the loss of his child. While his world breaks down around him, Dave tries to maintain a level of normalcy and cope with the alienation he feels from the real world and his friends and family.
A very personal tale for writer/director Todd Cobery, "Good Morning, Beautiful" is a fictionalized attempt to recreate the grief he felt after the loss of his own newborn daughter. The film has a loose narrative structure that attempts to recreate the feel and emotion of grief in a less traditional sense, utilizing a psychological thriller as a backdrop for getting inside the head of a man dealing with the emptiness of the loss of a child.

Todd Cobery is a filmmaker and producer who has spent the past ten years working in Minneapolis. He has worked in narrative films, music videos, as well as commercial spots, earning respect as a filmmaker with a unique perspective and edgy sense of style and humor. His 2007 entry into the SXSW Grindhouse trailer competition, “The Dead Won’t Die” was a finalist and screened at Robert Rodriguez’ Grindhouse panel. In 2009, the music video he directed for P.O.S. “Drumroll” played at the SXSW Film festival and received 2nd runner up in the competition. His most recent short film, the deeply personal and dark “Good Morning, Beautiful,” already has been praised and is set to emerge on the festival scene this spring with a world premiere at SXSW as part of the midnight shorts. Todd’s works have screened across the United States and Europe. He recently produced his first feature film, "Stuck Between Stations" starring Sam Rosen, Zoe Lister-Jones, Michael Imperioli, and Josh Hartnett and directed by "Good Morning, Beautiful" producer, Brady Kiernan.
BRADY KIERNAN - PRODUCER

Brady Kiernan has earned a reputation as a risk taker, able to deliver spectacular images on a shoestring budget. He recently produced 5 music videos in 5 days for the artist P.O.S., four of which have premiered on MTV affiliates, including one that he directed for "Purexed." In addition to directing short films and working as a line producer, he has been working in the Minneapolis film industry in various capacities for the past seven years. Brady recently completed his feature film directorial debut,"Stuck Between Stations."
BO HAKALA - Director of Photography

Bo Hakala has over 5 years experience shooting commercials, music videos, short films, and features. This past year he shot a feature film entitled “Stuck Between Stations” starring Sam Rosen and Zoe Lister Jones (with Josh Hartnett and Michael Imperioli) directed by Brady Kiernan. Hakala’s recent work includes national spots for Subaru, Rapala, and Best Buy. He has photographed Music Videos for Atmosphere, POS, Lookbook and Dessa. Hakala also shoots documentary programming for The History Channel which has taken him all over the globe. He recently finished production on a feature entitled “Souvenirs” which stars Jonathan Bennett and James Cromwell.
CRIST J. BALLAS - Producer & Special Makeup Effects

As owner and supervisor of the Minnesota-based Metamorphosis Make-Up Artistry, Crist has enjoyed a diverse and challenging career in the industry for more than 25 years. His high-profile work includes the films THE STRAIGHT STORY, SWEET LAND, BATMAN & ROBIN, A SIMPLE PLAN and J.J. Abrams’ STAR TREK.
A childhood passion for the classic Universal monsters, coupled with a love of the fine arts, led Crist toward the rather unconventional study of makeup. After many years of honing his skills, he further refined his make-up techniques under the tutelage of legendary Dick Smith. An innovator in his field and known for his natural, beauty and ultra-realistic character makeups, Crist also brings to his work an intrinsic affinity for the acting process and feels honored to be a part of creating a character and helping an actor realize their full potential. Recently, his creative repertoire has expanded to include conceptualizing and helping to produce independent films.
